Garnier Nutrisse Package

Photo 1. The four piece package I received from ChickAdvisor

Photo 2. Ad from Elle Canada Magazine

I was one of 50 lucky Canadian members to test Garnier Nutrisse Cream plus the Garnier Fructis Color Shield Shampoo, Conditioner, and Instant Color Sealer care products. Thank you ChickAdvisor for selecting me! =)

I posted my three original reviews on the ChickAdvisor site so check them out: Garnier Nutrisse Cream, Garnier Fructis Color Shield Shampoo and Conditioner, and Instant Color Sealer. If you found my review helpful  give me a vote there. ^__^

I was sent two boxes of the Garnier Nutrisse Cream in Liquorice #10 to review. This hair dye provides a long-lasting grey coverage, and the gentle formula leaves my hair incredibly soft with a brilliant glossy shine.

The dye is rich, creamy, and thick so I had no dripping issues. Yay! The product did lightly stain my scalp and the bathtub but the staining did not cause irreversible damage. Thankfully, the light stain can be lightly scrubbed away. My hair color is now a healthy deep black – the color matches my natural hair color quite precisely. I would repurchase the Garnier Nutrisse Cream Hair Color and I suggest my friends and family to check this product out.

I love color of the bright pink and green bottles, which is quite easy to locate when shopping. I also love Garnier’s hair products - the distinctive energizing fruity scents.

The hydrating shampoo and conditioner, in my opinion, are gentle and safe to use everyday. The products do not strip my hair of its natural oils or add heavy oils. In other words, the shampoo and conditioner leaves my hair smooth, soft, and shiny without weighing my hair down.

I have found that my color lasts longer than when I use store branded shampoos for color-treated hair. Garnier's shampoo and conditioner saves me time and money, since I don’t have to color as often. I would repurchase this dual system and urge my friends, family, and co-workers who have color-treated hair to check out Garnier's Color Shield line.

The Instant Color Sealer product is amazing and it’s a must have! Similar to the Garnier’s Shampoo and Conditioner the sealer smells wonderful!

The product is light weight, and non-greasy to the touch. My color-treated hair is silky soft, sleek, and shiny! This formula controls flyaways, frizz and moisturizes my hair all day long. The seal keeps the color vibrant and my hair looking healthy.

Matchstick's Herbal Essences Hydralicious Kit: Final Thoughts

These three weeks, we studied Herbal Essences Hydralicious Line which consists of the following products: Featherweight, Self-Targeting, and Reconditioning shampoos and conditioners. I tried all three products, and I have noticed a significant difference in my hair. It is indeed thicker and stronger, smoother, softer, shiny, and more manageable. All three products have restored balance to my hair's natural oils, revitalized shine from my dull, dry hair and repaired damages caused by harsh styling products, and excessive heat applied to my hair.

There is a product in this line suited for everyone. If you are unsure of which product is right for you, I would first try the Reconditioning products first, because it is for 'injured' hair. I would consider this blend to be the "medium" of the three shampoos and conditioners. To summarize the features of the Hydralicious line; the Featherweight compound is intended for fine hair, the Self-Targeting mixture is for normal hair, and Reconditioning infusion is for dry/damaged hair.

Herbal Essences continues to be a trustworthy brand, and which has left me with a long-lasting, positive impression.

Matchstick's Herbal Essences Hydralicious Kit: Part III of III Review of Re-Conditioning Shampoo and Conditioner

Re-Conditioning Shampoo and Conditioner.

Reconditioning Shampoo, note the swirl "technology".

This is my favourite shampoo and conditioner among in the Herbal Essences Hydralicious line. It is a lavishing shampoo and conditioner with shea. I love the distinctive, calming, flora scent. If you're not sure which shampoo and conditioner to use in this line, I would recommend the reconditioning concoction, since it is for designed specifically for damaged hair. I believe all hair is damaged one way or another, because with the styling products we use, the massive amount of heat we apply with our hair dryer/curler/straightening iron, and environmental elements our hair endure. I only con I found with this product, is that it does not give me enough volume. However, the reconditioning brew gives me more volume than the featherweight shampoo and conditioner. Other than that, this product is hydrating, gives my hair a healthy shine, makes it soft and manageable.

Overall, I give the Reconditioning shampoo and conditioner an A.

Matchstick's Herbal Essences Hydralicious Kit: Part II of III Review of Self-Targeting Shampoo and Conditioner

Herbal Essences: Self-Targeting Products.

Self-Targeting Conditioner: uber thick.

Self-Targeting Shampoo: a brilliant pink color, infused with a heavenly scent-vanilla!

Self-Targeting Shampoo and Conditioner texture and consistency are very similar to the Featherweight line. The only differences is the color, scent, and function.

I absolutely love this the Self-Targeting shampoo and conditioner.

Pros:
-It gives me all the same benefits as as the Featherweight product, plus volume!
-I noticed a difference in my hair, it feels thicker.
-Contains soothing aloe

Cons:
-Although, I don't find the Self-Targeting compound to be as moisturizing as the Featherweight blend.

I would give this product an A-.

Overall, I highly recommend this Self-Targeting Shampoo and Conditioner, it is a brew that certainly revitalizes the mind, body and soul after a long day at work and school.

Matchstick's Herbal Essences Hydralicious Kit: Part I of III Review of Featherweight Shampoo and Conditioner

Photo 1. Shampoo.
Photo 2. Shampoo and conditioner bottles.

Featherweight Shampoo (300mL)
- thick (like molasses)
-'swirl' technology (see photo): cleaning and moisturizing at the same time!
- peach, and light orange color
-perfect amount of foaming
- a little bit of the product goes a long way
- with daily and moderate use, this product will last for 1.5 months for me
-Scent: fruity (water lily nectar & passion fruit)

Featherweight Conditioner (300mL)
- extra rich & thick
- consistent formula
- white in color
- must rub in hands to warm product before applying to hair
- easy to apply
- a little bit of the product goes a long way
- with daily and moderate use, this product will last for 2.0 months for me
-Scent: fruity (water lily nectar & passion fruit)

I found waaaay more pros using Herbal Essences Featherweight than my current shampoo. This product makes my hair:
-fairly soft (4.75/5.00)
-completely manageable (5.00/5.00)- no flyaway (Yay!)
-light and bouncy (4.750/5.00)
-healthy shine (5.00/5.00)
-long lasting light fragrant scent (4.50/5.00)

Featherweight shampoo is a gentle cleanser. In my honest opinion, it is safe to use everyday without stripping my hair of its natural oils. The only con that I found with the Featherweight treatment is that it does not give me the volume I want! :( In the morning I would have the right amount of volume, but by the evening my hair is flat.

I would rate this product a B+.

Overall, I would purchase Herbal Essences Featherweight Shampoo and Conditioner in the future. I would highly recommend this product! These are two essential items that will restore your hair to its natural state, thus keeping it healthy and shiny. <3
