Rishabh Sood's Blog Contest: iPod Nano 8 GB

Rishabh Sood - Blogging Tips, SEO Tricks, Tips, Link Building Tricks Much More! is a fairly new blog, started on July 26, 2008, but with great potential. The founder, Rishabh, is a 15-year-old boy from New Delhi, India. In his blog he shares blogging tips, such as how to increase readers, and increase traffic at your blog.

I posted a screenshot of his blog. I really like the layout, it is black background, with hints of orange in the header and footer. The ads are not disruptive nor are they annoying, i.e. they don't make loud sounds when you run your mouse over the ad. The blog is a little text-heavy for my taste, I think that adding more photos will draw in more readers, because of the visuals. The entries are easy to read, and follow along, as well they are descriptive. The blogger posts moderately, which is a pro. I find that some bloggers are obsessively blogging, in that their entries are too frequent, and other bloggers hardly post at all. However, Rishabh's blog is at a happy-medium, and you can check out which dates he has posted through a handy calendar on the right-hand-side of the scroll bar. I think that is an awesome feature!

My favourite entries would be How to use Google images to get traffic, and How to quickly rewrite your articles using Google. These are great entries, because it makes one's blog more accessible.

Anthropology Field Trip to Blackfoot Crossing

Monday was super fun. We went on a field trip to Blackfoot Crossing. I learned a lot studying the artifacts, as well as listening and reading blurbs under the displays. I was very temped to take pictures but they were not permitted. :( It has been awhile since I have been outside of Calgary...and being in the urual setting was super refreshing. The ride there was about 1 1/2 hours and getting back was sightly longer, because it was rush hour.
